A new tunnel has been found between Bangladesh and India, said Indian Border Security Force (BSF). The tunnel found between Indo-Bangladesh border near Chopra border in north Dinajpur district of West Bengal.

A press release from the Indian media said on Wednesday that the Indian Soldier of Indian Border Force was found the tunnel during the border search. BSF thinks that the animal traffickers have created this tunnel.There are 4,996 kilometres of the border between Bangladesh and India.
BSF deputy inspector general (DIG) Devi Sharan Singh said that the animal traffickers were digging this tunnel deep in the ground beneath the barbed wire. He said that this tunnel has been created due to border barricades in Bangladesh, due to obstruction of animal trafficking in Bangladesh.
The DIG further said that long tunnels were being used to dig the tunnel under a tea garden in the dark of night. BSF has strengthened the patrol after crossing the tunnel.
Earlier, in March last year, the BSF had found a tunnel near India-Bangladesh border. During the guarding of Tura sector of Meghalaya, the tunnels of 22 to 25 feet deep are found in a hill slope in Gujangpara.
