On Friday night, MPs were informed about this hack and later confirmed, accessing their emails were restricted from the Westminster estate.
But UK parliamentary spoke person said, the difficulties of accessing emails were not results of the cyber-attack instead it was part of the tackling major issue so that attack can be managed.
She said they were investigating the incident and liaising with the National Cyber Security Centre.
The spoke person also said, “an unauthorised access gaining attempts to accounts of parliament cyber network were found.”
“The British parliament has robust and security measures in place to keep all of our accounts and data safe. Above all, we are taking necessary precautions to secure more of our network. Just to stay on the safe side, we are temporarily restricted remote access to our parliament network system.” Spoke person also added.
