Polish lorry driver Ryszard Masierak has been accused of causing eight people’s death on the UK’s busy road M1 while he was over the drink driving limit. Mr Masierak appeared in court on Monday.
The 31-years-old lorry driver appeared in court on Monday allegedly halted his vehicle to a halt in the slow lane on southbound of the M1 just before the accident early on Saturday.
Cyriac Joseph who was driving the minibus, with Indian tourists to London, is thought to have hit with the second lorry as he was trying to avoid Masierak’s lorry.
Cyriac Joseph died with two women and five other men.
Masierak wiped his tears away as he presented himself at the High Wycombe Magistrates court on Monday.
He is now facing eight charges of causing death following dangerous driving and four charges of causing serious injury by the same course of action. All of this charges came into force as he was over the legal alcohol limit.
