A man named shot dead by an intruder has been named as Guy Hedger. Police have named East Dorset man shot by intruders on Sunday. The 61-year-old Guy Hedger has died following a shot by intruders in his own home in St Ives, county Dorset.
Dorset police have launched an investigation on this case and classified as a murder case.
Detectives who are investigating this murder case, says a second man entered into the property on Sunday morning, a gunshot has been heard and Mr Guy Hedger has died and they are being supported by the specialist supported trained officer.
Mr Hedger’s next of kin has been informed, a police officer has said.
Detectives Chief Insp Derbyshire said, her police investigation came into terms so far that Mr Hedger wasn’t known to the intruders, however, all lines of inquiry are being established.
She also added, at this moment we can’t say much as an ongoing investigation are underway and we are trying to establish what really happened.
Police are appealing the public for any information.
