A sixth person, a woman, was arrested earlier in a block of flats, north of the Manchester city in connection with the incident and we just learned this evening a seventh arrest has been made.
Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said, “It’s very clear that this is a network that we are investigating and as I said, it continues at a pace, there are extensive investigations going on.”
In the last few moments, Greater Manchester Police say there’s been a seventh arrest, this time in Nuneaton. Police insist the investigation is making progress.
Details are emerging about the bomber, Salman Abedi, and his brother has been arrested in Libya accused of links with so-called Islamic State. Also, Images have been released in the American media on Wednesday evening from the scene of the bombing. The UK government has expressed a strong disapproval.
So far, 14 names of the 22 victims have been released but police say they know the identities of everyone who was killed.
