Update: Death toll reaches to 58.
An earthquake that reaches to 8.1 magnitudes has struck Mexico’s southern coast on Thursday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said, the earth quake with small Tsunami has killed at least six people but no major destruction was reported so far.
The quake was very stronger than the Mexico City’s quake that killed thousands of people in1985.
Buildings were damaged badly. Rescue service is working through the night where the people are badly affected.
The damage to the city has been seen as quite limited as the earthquake was deeper and a far away from the capital.
“It almost killed me,” said Gildardo, a 64-year-old guard in Juarez neighbourhood.
